What you get with a paid subscription for A Good Book and A Cup of Tea
Yes, I’m offering paid subscriptions here on Substack. What does that mean for you and how will it benefit you? Let’s start unpacking.
Pricing
First, let’s start with pricing. I hate when I have to read through an entire post or watch an entire video before I am told the price of something so I’m going to start with that.
I’ll start with letting you know that you can get a seven-day trial of my substack, which will give you access to everything a paid subscriber has access to - for seven days. Whoot! This may not be as exciting as I get this thing started up or until the posts for paid subscribers increase, but it is going to become more exciting. I promise.
Substack won’t allow me to charge less than $5 a month for a paid sub so that’s what it is a month. For a year, though, I am charging $30 so if you do the math, that’s a 50 percent savings.
I will also be offering discounts off and on throughout the year.
If you want to become a founding member for $60 a year, there is that option too.
But what do you get?
Now, what do you “get” for paying for a subscription to my Substack? That’s the real info you need, right?
Let me make a list for you.
all my newsletter/writing updates
access to chapters from my upcoming books, most of which will be released in serial form right here on Substack before they are released.
access to exclusive giveaways and offers
access to the A Cup of Tea and a Good Book Clean Fiction Discord group
access to any short stories I might write
access to exclusive interviews with other authors
giveaways of templates for reading journals for various ages
character sheets
book recommendations from me and others
access to all past posts, free and paid!
What do you get if you are a free subscriber? Just the monthly newsletters.
If you are a founding member you are automatically added to my ARC list for every book. That means you get to see my books before anyone else does. That might not mean much now since I am just starting out but it could mean a lot when I become a famous author. *snicker* I know. That made even me laugh.
I think that covers everything you need to know about what paid subscriptions mean around here.
I will be offering my first exclusive post for paid subscribers this weekend. What will that be? You’ll have to wait and see!
Do you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions? Please feel free to leave them in the comment section!
